January 19, 2021: Delightful Interlude

Here's Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, on a glorious January day. Tomorrow we get a new administration, and I hope it happens without a major incident, though I'm nervous. 

But today was a perfect, sunny winter moment, so I drove up to check out Ridgefield, which I'd had on my list for years. 

I listened to the This American Life podcast episode from January 3, called "The Show of Delights." At one point they discussed the notion that failing to seek out things that delight us is a form of negligence.  It felt true. 

So have a few delights. Sufficient unto the day are the delights thereof.
