May 14, 2020: All You Need Is a Tarp -
This fort built by one of my homeless neighbors has the Beatles equivalent of a Home Sweet Home sign. Love is great, and I'm all for it, but it's not ALL you need. I think they need more shelter than plywood and a big tarp. They need running water. And a bathroom. And a kitchen....
In defense of JL's overly simplified anthem, though, if we truly loved everyone, everyone would have that at the very least. Here in Trump's Republican Too-Much-Hate US, we won't even guarantee people health acre, much less *decent* health care.
